I have finally posted the pics from our trip to the Twin Cities. Overall, I wasn't overly thrilled with the Mall of America. The must do of the visit there was the old time photography where we did the whole 1920s thing. If you would like to see all of the photos that were taken, you can click on our direct link and if you're really stalkerish you could even purchase them! Also had to do the tourist thing of taking pictures of Lego Land. Didn't venture in due to the amount of children which were in there, but it was really neat to look at.
Went to IKEA after our little adventure of trying to get out of the Mall. The whole reason we were going was so I could get the matching Lillberg couch for the Lillberg loveseat I have. Checked the in store inventory on their website before we went and it said that they had two in stock, so I figured it would be no biggy to get one. Get there and they didn't have any. No display with the rest of the furniture, no display in the self service area. I was pissed. One good thing about not getting the couch is that in their As-Is section, they had the Malm chest of drawers I was looking at. It had a tiny chunk missing out of the top of it and the two top drawers weren't level, but you had to look for them to even see them. The best thing about it is that it was only $79.00 rather than the $149.00 that the one on the floor was going for. Also got a new desk, cart for desk, and side table.
We are hoping to head back to the Cities again in May or so, but a lot of the depends on gas prices. Right now we are sitting at $3.39 a gallon. On our next trip, we plan on going to the Hard Rock. We were going to do it this time around, but when we woke up at the hotel, we were under a Winter Storm Warning and ended up getting around six inches of snow.
