The childcare center closed today in anticipation of the storms we got today. We had hail which was softball sized and just before we went into the basement, my brother and I heard a 'WHOOOOOOOOOSH', almost like a train type sound. Turned out that a tornado had touched down at 4:22 on just the other side of town. We didn't have a ton of damage like a lot of other places did. My car was pretty dented, we need to replace a lot of our siding, one of the screens on one of my brother's windows was torn, and my mum's garden cat had its face smashed in. Our neighbors had lost trees, windows, and windshields on their cars.

Turns out that we are back on a tornado watch until 10:00. Usually I am all for storms, but I think this one has done it for me.
